We haven't been to the Yellow River Game Ranch in 12 years. Very disappointed this trip., the deer don't run free any longer. Very few animals, and most looked miserable. It really broke my heart, compared to our last visit. Looks like they are just trying to survive. Very sad!!!
I have old VHS recordings of me running around this place when in 93 when I was 3 years old. I used to have the best time here as a child. Brought my four year old son to it and it was incredibly disappointing. I wish they would fix it up. So sad.
Do not listen to the negative reviews on here. This is the most underrated attraction I've ever been to. The staff was impeccably inviting and talked me into buying some peanuts, corn and carrots to feed the animals. I spent hours throwing peanuts to bears (who'd catch them at will) and corn to goats, donkeys, bison and many more animals. on my way out, they gave me more corn, so I could spend even more time on the trail. I plan on returning in the very near future. Go to this game ranch. You will not be disappointed.
After reading the reviews and coming here as a child, we decided to try ourselves. Unfortunately this place is not in good shape and seems to have fallen on tough times. I understand the animals are rescued and being helped but the place is run down. I wish someone would buy it and rehab the facility. Over half the enclosures were empty or housed repeated birds. Save your money and time.
I loved this place as a child. Several years ago I brought my children and it was wonderful but you could tell they were trying to rebuild from the flood. Brought my children here again today as they were out of school and I was very disappointed so we're my children. Many animals looked neglected or to be in distress. Someone needs to work on rehabbing this place or allow other rescues to take these animals and just shut the doors. It broke my heart to see some of those animals today. It was definitely not worth the money or the time.
